Lovely interior and feel to the pub, we had such high hopes. Afraid to say it was very average. The ‘ chicken burger’ was the same Goujons as my 2 year old sons kids meal.

It was a superb news night, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. We’ve just moved to the Village and so will love to have The Anchor as our local.

Music not good - need proper DJ or band - in the pub. Marquee was dominated by young people. Where were all the regulars? Pricing needs looking at to attract more regulars.

So good to see our local full on a Friday night. We had an enjoyable evening with friends. Mains were good, we didn’t have long to wait to eat. Puddings ok, could be more exciting!

Hello. I hope you take this as constructive. We sometimes book and sometimes not, and the Anchor is one of our regular few. We’ve had many good meals there, yesterdays booking was a little disappointing. My harissa chicken burger had no harissa mayo so had to ask for it as was very dry without. The smoked fish cakes were 90% potato and you could barely spot a flake of fish here and there.
Excellent food and superb service as always
