Everything is good about The Anchor. Except one minor thing. The baby changing unit so high that it is almost impossible for most women to be able to reach. And it's in the toilet cubicle. Sort that out and it's 100%

Lovely as always, Warming Harveys old ale, good hot food, excellent atmosphere & good music inlcuding Northumbrian pipes, bassoon & hammered dulcimer.

It’s always lovely to bring friends to the Anchor as I know it’s going to be top notch all round. The service we had was lovely and friendly, the food was delicious (I love being able to say everything on the menu is good - and mean it!), there was a folk band practising in the sing and it just added to the whole evening. Thank you for always being a wonderful place to spend the evening!

Slow service, food not to the normal quality and ran out of 2 desserts by 1.45? A shame

Best pub we’ve been to during our visit to the UK. Great atmosphere, great food, and great drinks.

The only negative comment is that it was rather chilly. We moved tables for our pudding so we were near to the log fire which made a big difference otherwise everything was top dollar. Definitely will come again.
