We chose to eat at The Anchor as the establishment that we normally use has nose dived in quality of food and service . Wow what a great pub The Anchor is , from the moment you walk through the door you feel welcomed . The service and food was fantastic. This is also a genuinely dog friendly pub , no having to seat in certain areas. The pub dog gives every table a visit , just to see if you leaving anything , which in this case we didn’t as it was all scrummy . We will be back .

The food was better because the best chef was on duty. We can really tell the difference.

Accomodated ten of us for lunch on a Wednesday. We were all served promptly and together. Staff were very attentive and polite

We are regulars.My husband has Alzeimers and the staff are always helpful and considerate.
