We love it here! Best pub around; not pretentious and very friendly team. Good value too. Lovely welcoming fires and pub dog!

Everything was just right. Welcome when we entered, tables well spaced (not crowded as with many rest), service was professional and very efficient (no rush). Food choice a little different to the norm and beautifully cooked, with good sized helpings. All tables were occupied and the atmosphere was light. Excellent! Would recommend visiting but make sure you book early.

Although we had to sit in the bar area it was comfortable. The food was really good. Friendly staff, service was good and not intrusive. I will highly recommend The Anchor.

Went with husband and my sister , lovely pub and enjoyable lunch
The service was very friendly and our waitress was excellent. Sadly, the food didn’t match the service and the general appearance of the pub was tired and in need of some tlc
