Mashed potato was salty, greens were not cooked enough I couldn’t eat the broccoli stem it was hard. Chicken pie delicious.

Food not the best I’ve eaten there. Over cooked eggs, gammon barely tender. Mostly spoilt by the landlord’s dog sitting by the table basically begging! Not impressed

We love The Anchor, though we have visited a number of times recently and discovered one of the fryers not to be working and thus affecting the menu choices. Will this be fixed soon? I chose the wild mushrooms and stilton option, what I got looked like button mushrooms and the Stilton was melted, it would be nicer with real wild mushrooms and uncooked stilton. Hope this lands happily.

Our visit to the Anchor on 5th November was such a wonderful afternoon. The service was excellent and staff so friendly. Food was of the best quality and every one of our party really enjoyed the whole experience. Many thanks to all at the Anchor
