British, Cafe, Kids friendly

Our Eighteen Acre Café has a stunning viewing balcony overlooking the ripening vines. It’s a great place for a spot of lunch or catching up with friends over a glass of award-winning wine. All our food is locally sourced and our chef serves up scrumptious dishes for brunch and lunch.  We've created a tasty menu you'll love; from warming winter dishes perfectly paired with our wines, to daily specials carefully created by our chefs with the freshest seasonal ingredients.

We are now taking table bookings from 19th May onwards. Unil then, we are operating a walk-in service only. Our cafe is open on Wednesday to Sunday from 9am – 4pm (food service stops at 3.30pm on Weds - Sat, and 3pm on Sun). On Monday and Tuesday we are open for take-away tea and coffee only.

Please note: All guests, including café and tour guests (with the exception of minors under the age of 11 and people with medical conditions that preclude them from wearing face coverings) are kindly asked to bring and wear face coverings when travelling through our shop area. We also ask that all visitors to Bolney follow government guidelines regarding COVID 19. As a result, only parties from the same household are permitted to book a single table in our café. Please note, all members of the party are required by law to register their own track and trace details. Find out more about this here.

Please note that you will have 2 hours for your table booking.

You could do with parasols on each table outside. Everything is a little overpriced for what you get. How do you justify almost £13 for a cooked breakfast. I do however enjoy the place when the Sun is out.

Birthday brunch for a friend. All excellent. Food good quality and valve and very friendly staff in a stunning setting. Great weather too which made it even better as we sat outside on the deck. Thank you. We’ll be back for wine and cheese!!

Brought my Mum for her 88th birthday lunch. We were fortunate enough to have sunny weather so our helpful waitress moved us to a table on the balcony, with amazing views over the vines. Despite being very busy and juggling serving all the tables, our waitress was so lovely, kind and helpful, particularly to my Mum, even arranging a surprise birthday dessert treat with raspberry fudge and macaroons. She really made our visit feel special. Sorry can't remember her name. Blonde lady with a pony tail. She deserves a lot of credit! Food was delicious, as was the wine. The only negative was the really limited number of options available on the lunch menu. A few more choices would be great. We will certainly be back again, can't believe we've only just found you!

Unfortunately the service was so slow we left before getting any drinks or ordering. A real disappointment because the location and cafe look really promising. We took our two children round the vines on the kids trail prior to lunch. We returned to the cafe a little earlier than booked at 12:15 vs 12:30. Promptly seated on the terrace. 10mins later I returned inside thinking I was mistaken and it was order at the counter but told someone would be over. After a ,further wait we were given menus and the promise of some table water prior to ordering drinks. We gave up after 40mins waiting in the blazing sun with two young children never having even received table water let alone ordered drinks or food. Can't blame the servers, they looked run off their feet, I assume the issue was simply not enough staff. Really disappointing because we enjoy your wine and it looks like a perfect place to bring extended family for an amble and lunch. Terrace also definitely needs more shade. We had a table with an umbrella which only shades two chairs due to the orientation. Many of the tables didn't have any umbrellas. Sorry for the bad review but we're now really put off trying again.

Overall excellent all round. Marked down as we ( our choice) sat inside as it was busy outside and on arrival we were left standing and waiting for quite a while
