The food ambiance wascexcellent all five stars.one thing let it down dramatically which would definitely put me off recommending to friends and that is when we arrived I told bar staff I had a reservation..she told us where the table was and pointed to it (she was not exactly busy and could of showed us to the table) however we went over to where she pointed. It was absolutely disgraceful we almost left. The table was literally behind a table where a woman was sitting and an empty pram..the whole floor area was covered in food,dropped chips etc and disgusting.The girl sId to us just walk round it...we asked for another table but didn't say why as it should of been plain obvious. Really the woman who was sitting at the table should of been made to clear her own mess up not expect the bar staff to do it. Before we made our decision to carry on and stay there the food and floor was still a disgrace. Why do guests treat a lovely pub like this...at the same time staff should of cleared that sickly mess and not of pointed us to sit there. Do you know something..it wasn't worth mentioning it as the girl clearing round the table saw it ,it was that obvious. I don't think k I can take guests there again forthat reason..shame as staff seem nice
