We had a lovely evening catching up with friends. The staff are obviously happy in their work. My only grumble is we had to ask for drinks when we arrived and then when it came to desserts we thought they had forgotten us. This would not stop us going back though.

Great food and service. Love the old world atmosphere and ambiance. In the area on holiday saw the Crown Inn recommended in our travel guide. I wish my own local was as good.

We have eaten at The Crown many times over the years, however, this was our first Sunday Roast under the current owners. I have been after a really good quality roast cooked by someone else for a long time - this was it. Recommend the beef and the vegetables were clearly seasonal and local. Thank you.

We hadn't been to the Crown for a long time and now we are wondering why? The service in the restaurant was spot on friendly and attentive but not over the top, food was great and we thought price wise it was reasonable. Please stock some Guinness zero lol. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back sooner this time.

I met a friend for lunch and a catch-up- perfect meeting place, with a beautiful garden and lovely interior. We had the crab and prawn sandwiches on granary- tasty and fresh! The dessert menu looked fab too.

Fantastic historic pub off the beaten track. Friendly staff and great tasting food. Huge selection of beer and ales. Bar snacks too including pickled onions!

Really nice old pub, well maintained and cosy. Accommodation was first class, we had a nice comfortable and quiet night. All the staff were very friendly. We had a lovely meal in the evening and a good breakfast. Tricky little access road. Great stay, would thoroughly recomend this establishment.
My husband was disappointed with the half pint of Prawns. He wasn't aware they came with their shells on and even worse, they were full of eggs which put him off. Had he known this he would have chosen another starter. I think you need to make customers aware of this on your menu. Regards Jean Male
