Don’t pass soggy potato wedges off as chips ,if the menus says chips then do chips.

Had another good meal at the Dog, just a little wait for the food but worth it.

We love the Dog and always rate it as excellent.. However this time it was not as good as usual. The soup was cold and the peas with the fish and chips were cold too. I nearly mentioned it but the team were clearly under staffed and under pressure. The Chairs are also too low for the tables.. otherwise it is a fantastic place to eat.

All the food was imaginative, well presented and extremely tasty. Service was efficient and friendly. Middle room was a bit noisy and ‘clattery’ - we’ll try the a la Carter area next visit. Keep up the good work!

We went for Sunday lunch. The food was excellent, the meat was cooked just as we like it. Even though we all liked it cooked differently. Service was a little slow at times, not enough to complain about. Fabulous atmosphere for a lunch time. Would thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic food and drinks - but we felt rushed throughout our experience. Although apologetic, staff did try to clear out plates before we had finished and the bill was brought to us without our asking. We weren’t given the opportunity for our food to settle and for us to enjoy what should have been a lovely night at our own pace. We moved from the restaurant to the bar thinking we had some time, but it wasn’t long before the bar was loudly cashed up. We were asked long before last call for our final order and to settle our tab. Again, should have been a lovely experience but we felt rushed. There was time for a person centric approach to service.
Not very child friendly. No high chairs and no kids menus at all. Happy to do half portions for full price?
