First visit to the Dog for Sunday lunch. A hearty meal, the beef was a little on the rare side for one of our party, however, this was dealt with. Plenty of fresh vegetables and not over cooked. Will recommend and return.

We love the Dog! Food was excellent and the staff lovely. There were quite a few dogs in the bar area and they were barking quite a bit, otherwise the ambience would be excellent too. It usually is when there are fewer quieter well behaved dogs.

Apart from a massive piece of eggshell in a friend’s meal, and the too pink/red beef, the food was good. The lady we spoke to at the time was apologetic, but the pudding had put her off having them in the future. Prefer the way you serve your vegetables, with people being able to help themselves! Presumably this leads to less waste Re: GF food, it might be worth investing in some Gluten free stuffing and Yorkshires. Simply removing these items from the plate without a replacement isn’t good value for money.

Excellent Sunday roast, great to see an extra vegetarian option this time (risotto).

Unfortunately my son’s first burger was cold and so you kindly reheated and re-platted it. However when the burger returned it was still undercooked and chewy. My husband didn’t enjoy his tapas and his chips were overcooked. I ordered a crispy duck salad and found that it was actually a leg of duck which isn’t what was stated on the menu. I asked for my duck to be deboned which you kindly sorted but what was left was very fatty and not at all crispy. I did tell the waitress that I wasn’t happy with my meal but she just walked away. When three members of staff cleared our plates away it was quite obvious from what was left that we hadn’t enjoyed our meal however no one tried to look into why. We did however appreciate the friendless of one of the waitresses. However we won’t be eating again with yourselves as this is our second bad experience. We will however continue to enjoy a drink in your pub.
