We came in as a group of 15 for my mum’s 60th on Friday night. The majority of the food was really nice but one of it party had a fillet steak which was like a child’s portion. I understand and accept paying £27 for a good fillet steak but if I’d have known how much one of our party would be charged for such a small piece of meat, I would have complained at the time. The sweets took 45 mins to come out which was also a bit disappointing. We had two children with us who were very restless by the time the final course arrived. One of the waitresses was attentive, but our table was rarely checked for drinks and you don’t really want to have to keep leaving the table to go to the bar. Shame really, because you normally provide good food and good service. Perhaps more thought needs to go into catering for large groups, particularly when it’s a special family occasion. We did leave feeling slightly disappointed.
