My daughter in law and I visited the tea rooms for lunch. I chose a cream tea and it was OK but the scone was quite dry. My Daughter in law however chose the sweet potato toast and smashed avocado and she thoroughly enjoyed it.

Always enjoy lunch at the owl. Can’t resist the bakery afterwards for takeaway treats.

Unfortunately whilst booked on line the booking was not received at the venue and the staff had to try and find us a table. This caused us embarrassment and we didn’t find it acceptable. Given that I had also received notification confirmation of our booking. We would suggest this be rectified sooner rather than later as you will loose customers !

Two of us stopped for a quick lunch yesterday. The choice of food was extensive with plenty to suit different appetites. We chose a cheese and chive frittata which was very cheesy and delicious and served with a simple salad, made glorious by a delicious dressing. We will definitely be back!

The table was booked as we always visit The Owl when in Holt. We love everything here.

We visit the owl frequently, it is our ‘go to’ place for breakfast and we love it! But on 24th the food wasn’t up to its usual high standards. I had the mushroom medley with a side order of halloumi. I love this dish, but on this occasion it was over cooked! The poached eggs were hard, the toast was like a cracker and the halloumi was burnt. It was still just edible, but not up to your usual high standards. Hoping it was a one off!
