Unfortunately we left after one drink and food as the covid safety was really poor. We were located next two tables of four men that were stood up which is not allowed and decided to move together to make 8 people together. They were probably double vaccinated and didn’t care about other people. We had to point this out to staff who then asked them to separate but they still stood up and didn’t really take heed. This isn’t the staff’s fault but maybe there should be some security to ensure people follow the rules before hospitality is closed down again!

well some of those categories don't apply as I was sat outside on a bench and only ordered beer. To the chase ... the Headless was in superb form .. at 3.9% very quaff-able. The service was fantastic .. really appreciated the feeling of 'welcome back', both ways. Thankfully the sun was out and it was a lovely relaxing 90 minutes spent enjoying fine ale once again. Thank you - I know it's been tough for you guys.

Order was wrong three times due to new staff, appreciate they have to learn but may be best for them to shadow so they know how to use the tablet and understand the basics - responses we received from the server was, "what's dark rum?", "we don't sell that (an item we had previously ordered the same day)" and "we don't do tonic (at a gin bar)".

I love Red Willow and we visit often, and will continue to do so. I didn't enjoy my visit as much this time. We booked outside, and wished we hadnt. There was a group of men chanting football songs every now and again and it nearly kicked off a one point. There was another couple if guys sat opposite (ish) us and they were absolutely hammered, one if them kept burping and fartinf really loudly. I fully appreciate that with things lifting people will likely go a bit crazy, and I know drunk people in a bar is not news. It was the manner if the drunkeness that bothered me. Especially as one of the reasons I love Red Willow is that it always feels safe and you don't really see very drunk people in there. The Bar staff that were working were attentive and lovely as always, but I'm not sure any of them would have successfully been able to tell anyone to go or stop serving anyone (no criticism of them at all btw). I'm sorry if this seens unreasonable and winey. I just wanted to tell you, I know and love red willow but if it had been my first visit I'm not sure I'd be going back. As it stands I will be!
Service was excellent , table reserved and ready for us, staff attentive and polite.
