It was such a hot day and although staff were under great pressure, they remained efficient, up beat and friendly. The menu was reduced (quite understandable) but this did not worry us and the food ordered was delicious: a rather fussy friend commented on how his chicken salad was the best that he had had in a very long while! Windows and doors were open so as to help with a through breeze (not sure about air conditioning, therefore). Just want to say a very big "Thank you" to all staff and "Well done" working in such challenging circumstances.

I have been eating here for quite a while now and along with a friend we visit frequently for lunches. I only recently noticed that an additional amount had been added to my bill, and on looking at the menu it says 'discretionary' charge. I understand this to be optional, but as you are not given or offered a bill before paying, you will not see this and have the option to not payment this?

Food was good but very small portions for the price. THere was very little for a vegetarian who does not tolerate eggs. We ordered the avocado on toast which came with eggs & asked if we could swap the eggs for a hash brown. This was refused and there was no attempt to offer an alternative. This made the one slice of toast & avocado very expensive. The waitress didnt even ask in the kitchen to see what alternatives could be offered.










The mussels were the best I have ever tasted!
